Krakow Airport im. Jana Pawla II – that’s the official name of the airport in Krakow. This international airport lies approx. 11km from the city centre. At the moment it is managed by the concern called Miadzynarodowy Port Lotniczy im. Jana Pawła II Krakow – Balice sp. z o.o.
It is the second largest airport in the state, just after the Okecie in Warsaw, in case of both – general number of all served people and flights. The future of the airport looks very promising. About eight mln potential passengers lives within one hundred km from the airport, and in addition it is located on the extremely active communication route.
